ANDY SKELLAM

Weight Of The World

Film for Andy Stellam released 6th Dec 2023

So lovely to make a film for this beautiful song ‘Weight Of The World’
by my friend and wonderful musician Andy Skellam.
A real joy to film the ever changing landscape and watch the incredible colours
of autumn leaves falling on the pond.

PORTALS OF LIGHT

From the album ‘Medicine Journey’

I visited my friend Jude over the summer and told her I was wondering how harmonium would sound with my flutes. Beautiful synchronicity as it just so happened that she bought a harmonium in India many years ago. She hadn’t played it for years and she was very happy to lend it to me. So I was very excited to bring this beautiful instrument home and have a play and found it blended beautifully with the flutes. My father passed 5 years ago around the time I borrowed the harmonium and wrote this piece of music. This tune celebrates his life and his passing onto a new realm and to bring new moon intentions for this time.

It was a real joy to make this film for Andre. Perfect timing too as the following weekend I managed to capture reflections of the Snow Moon in the lake not far from my home. Merged with textures in the landscape of waterfall, river and pond resulting in a dreamscape of light reflections.

SNAILS

Music

Music videos for Snails. From their LP Hard-Wired now available on Bandcamp.

Bristol's Snails return in exuberant form on their second full-length album, Hard-wired. Over 10 songs that unfold with an origami-like precision and attention to detail, the west country 6-piece expand their lush, outsider-pop template into new sonic and emotional territory, alchemising existential doubt into condensed elegies of often breathtaking beauty.

Winter EP

Music videos from Red Deer Sleeping Winter EP. Music available on Bandcamp.

We paused: the winds were in the beech:
We heard them sweep the winter land;
And in a circle hand-in-hand
Sat silent, looking each at each.

Autumn EP

Music videos from Red Deer Sleeping Autumn EP. Music available on Bandcamp.

This afternoon was the colour of water falling through sunlight;
The trees glittered with the tumbling of leaves;
The sidewalks shone like alleys of dropped maple leaves,
And the houses ran along them laughing out of square, open windows.
